Clementine Alo Obituary

Clementine A. (Bertone) Alo, 91, of Erie, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at The Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home.

She was born on July 7, 1929 in Erie, Pa., daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Vendetti) Bertone.

Clementine was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School. She was employed at Erie Technological Products and retired from Erie Insurance Exchange as a Unit Leader. She was a member of St. George Church. She enjoyed movies, cooking and entertaining family and friends. Clementine was also a member of The Red Hat Society and participated in many of their events.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Armand J. Alo and sisters-in-law, Ellen Bertone and Marilyn Alo, brothers-in-law Rudolph Alo, Egilio Alo and Thomas Paterniti and son-in-law Anthony Santamouro.

Survivors include her daughter, Michele A. Santamouro of Corona, Calif.; two sons, John M. Alo of Erie, and Anthony J. Alo and his partner Christine Gustafson both of Temecula, Calif.; brother Raymond Bertone, sisters-in-law Rose Alo, Vilma Paterniti of Erie, and Dolores Fresch and her husband Walter of Phoenixville, Pa., and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The Alo family would like to thank the staff, nurses and aides of The Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home for all their loving care and support.

Friends may call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street, at Greengarden Boulevard, on Thursday, May 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service at the funeral home on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. George Church at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Tony,Michele,John Sorry for your loss. Clem was a sweet lady, she would babysit me when my mom went downtown to pay bills. She and I shared the same birthdate. Always will remember her sweet and gentle ways. May you find comfort in your memories.
