Cleo Jethero "Jerry" Summers, age 75, of Dover died Sunday November 27, 2016 at Legacy Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born May 19, 1941, in Morrilton, Arkansas, to Hancle and Cora May Wells Summers. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann Summers; and his aunt, Maxine Egger. Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Smith Hickerson (Terry) of Pine Bluff, Diane Smith Edwards (Roger) of Sherwood, and Kim Leach Edwards; four grandchildren, Tracy Martin of Houston, Texas, Sarah Blackburn of Jacksonville, David Edwards of Sherwood, and Caleb Hickerson of Dover; and 10 great-grandchildren. The graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Rest Haven Memorial Park, officiated by Caleb Hickerson, and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, from 5-6 p.m., at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David Edwards, Roger Edwards, Paul Blackburn, Terry Hickerson, Caleb Hickerson and Tracy Martin. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Post Office Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675, or to the Alzheimer's Association, Western Arkansas Chapter, 2408 South 51st Court, Suite F, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72903 The online obituary and guestbook are available at www.shinnfuneral.com.
