Cleo Krecker Obituary
Cleo Battle Krecker, went to be with her Lord and Savior, October 28, 2023.
Cleo was born on 22 August 1933 in Jackson Mississippi to the late Clifford Hal and Bea (Toole) Battle. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Clifford Hal "Sonny" Battle Jr. Cleo was raised in the small town of Byram Mississippi and attended the Mississippi University for Woman graduating with a degree in Library Science. After college, on the advice of a friend, Cleo began work for the United States Air Force as a base librarian where she met the love of her life, John S. Krecker. They married in 1959 and remained together for 65 years of marriage. Cleo loved golfing, spending time with family and friends and she and John were avid world travelers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Cleo was survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, John Stewart Krecker; children; Gregory Krecker, Jeffrey (Nancy) Krecker, and Kimberly (Russ) Ward; four beautiful grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and one great grandchild; sister Brenda (Tom) Basso and a host of extended family and friends.
A service celebrating the life and love of John and Cleo will be held at a later date.
