Cleon Anderson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 2, 2015.
Cleon "Andy" Anderson passed away Sunday, November 1st, following a brief hospitalization near his home in Vancouver, Washington. He was 79. "Andy", as his friends knew him, was a well-respected meat-cutter who retired from Kauffman's Thriftway in 1990. He was a family man who held many interests including real estate, classic cars, pottery, gardening, jewelry making, farming, animal husbandry, and collectibles of all kinds. An entrepreneur at heart, he pursued and obtained both his real estate sales & pilot's license, an auctioneer certification, and brown belt in karate. He was a life-long learner who took up pottery and jewelry making after retirement. He not only learned how to do it, but alongside his wife, Linda, also turned it into a viable business, participating in the Vancouver Farmer's Market for the last 8 years. Andy loved to travel and quickly made friends wherever he went. He loved his dogs, the "cabin", his annual trip to Arizona, the outdoors in general, and specifically, the Pacific Northwest where he made his home over 50 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Linda Anderson, a brother, Norman C. Anderson, his sons, Coy W. Anderson, and Mark C. Anderson, and a daughter, Cate V. Fronabarger. Three grandchildren also survive him: Madison, Kady, and Jamie, along with many loving in-laws, nephews, nieces, and a host of long-time friends. Per his request, no services are scheduled.
