Cleon Williams
84, of Richmond, Indiana, peacefully passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022.
He was born March 2, 1937 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late Marcus and Hazel (Conway) Williams.
In addition to his parents, Cleon was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Williams.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ruby Williams; children, Valerie (Wayne) Morrison of Shelby, NC, James Williams of Shelby, NC, Shane (Monique) Williams of Liberty Township, OH, and Marc (Brenda Dunn) Williams of Richmond, IN; grandchildren, Richard, Brooke, Devan, Jasmine, Kaysey, Michael, Tristan, and Noah; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and siblings, Loretta Slaven and Joann Howard.
Cleon had been a professional truck driver his whole career, he was a member of the 3 Million Mile Club, which he traveled through every state in the United States. He retired in 2016 from Zumstein Incorporation of Lewisburg Ohio.
He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed spending his time working in the yard in the summers and bundled up watching TV in the winters.
Cleon was a dedicated loving husband, father, and grandfather to all of his family.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 18 from 11AM to 12PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, 3377 US Route 35 East, West Alexandria 45381. The funeral service will begin at 12PM with burial to follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery
