Cletus E. Fry

Cletus E. Fry, age 69, of rural Montpelier, Ohio, passed away on early Monday morning, November 20, 2023 at his home. Cletus retired from Con-Agra in 2019 with 46 years of service.  He was a member of the Unity Antique Power Club, Bryan Eagle Aerie 2233 and Salem Church.  He was an avid collector of and restored numerous tractors and one special truck.

Cletus E. Fry was born on May 24, 1954, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Modestus “Dusty” and MaDonna (Goebel) Fry. He was a graduate of Montpelier High School.  He married Elaine Leatherman on October 26, 2017 in Hillsdale, Michigan and she survives.

Cletus is also survived by his sons, Andrew Fry, of Antwerp and Brian (Dawn) Fry, of Napoleon; daughter, Erin Fry, of Bryan; 8 grandchildren, Drew Fry, Kaitlyn Barnes, Owen Fry, Alisa Fry, Michael Bullock, Winter Mendoza, Alexandra McStoots and  Michael McStoots; great grandchildren, Lillian, Milo and Sunny; his mother, MaDonna Fry, of Bryan; siblings, Linda (Mike) Hinesman, of Hudson, Michigan, Larry (Cindy) Fry, of Edgerton and Neil Fry, of Montpelier and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Dusty Fry and a grandson, Justin Fry. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 1:00-4:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 W. Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Salem Church, 13751 Tripp Road, Waldron, Michigan 49288 with Pastor Dorothy Ritchey-Moore officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Salem Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
