Cleveland William Jordan

Cleveland William Jordan passed away on August 29, 2023, at the age of 76. He retired from the New Orleans Sheriff's Department in January of 2003. He is survived by his spouse of 37 years, Albertha Hawkins Jordan; three children, DeShawnne Broussard (Bud III) Fogan, Samuel Hurts, Sr., and Nathaniel (Jackie) Hurts; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: Jerome Jordan, Alfred (Darlene) Jordan, Sr., and Kenneth Stanley and seven sisters: Cora Monroe, Orelia Jordan, Debra (Aaron) Johnson, Clidell J. Chapman, Shirlyne (Eugene) Harris, Ruby Jean (Lionel) Parker Cheevers and Ellanese Haywood. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Cleveland was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland Jordan, Jr., and Burdia Mae Snow Jordan, and one brother, Albert Lee Jordan. Family and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life Service on Monday, September 11, 2023, at the Gaza Missionary Baptist Church, 7258 Ransom Street, New Orleans, LA 70126 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. Alfred Jordan, Sr., Host Pastor and Pastor Robert Brown, Officiant.
