Clifford Biech, age 92, of Omro, formerly of McClusky, ND, died peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025, at his home.
He was born March 24, 1932, in Wing, ND, the son of Otto and Rose Kraft Biech. Clifford was a 1950 graduate of Wing High School. On February 5, 1956, he was united in marriage to Arlene Helm at McClusky United Methodist Church.
Clifford was born and raised on the family farm. He spent his younger years working on farms and ranches. Clifford had a short stint working for the telephone company in Chicago before moving to Milwaukee and becoming a landscaper. He worked for the Village of Whitefish Bay retiring after 28 years of service.
Clifford enjoyed woodworking, bird watching, fishing and gardening. Going on casino trips was a favorite pastime as well as watching NASCAR. He was a self-taught accordion player and lover of polka gospel and country music. Clifford liked his Signature Series Lincoln Town Car, being Mr. Fixit for friends and neighbors, but most of all the time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; three daughters, Zona (Jim) Roddy, Sandra Sanborn and Melodie (Mark) Sturm; one son, Greg (Kari) Biech; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Clifford was preceded in death by his three sisters.
Private family services will be held at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Wauwatosa. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. A memorial has been established.
