Clifford LEON Brown

Clifford LEON Brown was born August 8, 1953, and passed away March 29, 2026, at the age of 72.
Leon, a beloved member of his community, passed away leaving behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and deep love for those around him. He was the proud owner of the Dairy Queen locations in Westlake and Moss Bluff, helped manage the DeQuincy Dairy Queen, and also worked as the district manager for circulation at American Press, where he built lasting relationships with customers and employees alike. He had a passion for travel, with a special place in his heart for Clearwater Beach, Florida, where he found joy and peace by the ocean and white sands. A devoted sports fan, he especially loved cheering on the Astros and enjoyed following college sports with enthusiasm.
More than anything, he cherished time spent with his wife and his dogs, who brought him constant companionship and happiness. Known as one of the kindest yet quiet men you could ever meet, he truly had a heart of gold and touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his generosity, warmth, and unwavering love for family, friends, and community.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Michele Brown; his loving son, Patrick Healy; sisters, Fredia Brown and Pam Brown; brother-in-law, Matthew Homa; niece, Meadow Homa; nephew, Lance Homa; grandchildren-in-love, Nicole, Kyla, and Keaton; and his dogs, Bug, HalBell, Biggie, and Bear Bear.
He is preceded in death by his son, Brian Healy; and parents, Fred and Lavon Brown.

Family will receive friends from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Riley Smith & Sons - DeQuincy, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Bro. Mike Streams will be officiating. Interment to follow at Hinson Cemetery, Harvey Crossing Road, DeRidder, Louisiana.
