Clifford Anthony Dault, age 87, went to his heavenly home on January 27, 2025. Cliff always said, "I'm fantastic, but I'll get better," and he is now the best he can be at home in heaven. Cliff was born to Clifford and Ella Dault on February 6, 1937, in Muskegon, Michigan. Cliff attended and graduated from Muskegon High School. He worked for 32 years as a grocer before taking a position in sales at Schwans, from which he retired. Cliff married his loving wife Peggy (Carlson) Dault in 1989. Cliff was a loving and devoted husband and father. He had a passion for Muskegon history, the outdoors, and motorcycles. Cliff also loved his church community at Oak Crest Church of God where he served as an elder and enjoyed his time in small groups and the Men's Ministry.
Clifford's kind spirit will be missed by his wife, Peggy Dault; children, Kathy (Tim) Wahlers, Karen (Andy) Hanichen, and Diane (Jim) Burnett; stepchildren, Rick (Jennifer) Clements, Lyndee Fisher, and Andy Clements; brother, Charles (Allyne) Dault; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and beloved dog, Mazee. Clifford was preceded in death by his son, Samuel Dault; son-in-law, Elmo Hahn; grandson Tyler Whelpley; and sisters, Sally Stork and Shirley Tylen.
A memorial service will be held at Oak Crest Church of God, 1540 Leonard Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442, on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held an hour prior to service.
