James Clifford Lawson, age 80, of Trenton, GA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at a local care facility.
Clifford worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator, known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft. Outside of work, he enjoyed raising mules and spending time outdoors. He was a member of Magby Gap Church of Christ.
He is survived by his daughter, Leann Lawson; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Belle Fisher Lawson; and siblings, George Lawson Jr., Ernest Lawson, Amos Lawson, David Lawson, Leonard Lawson, Hattie Winn, Mary Hodge, Leona Higdon, Orianna Bible, and Dorothy Higdon.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Hooker Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Magby Gap Church of Christ.
