Clifford O. Spitzer, 93, of Ranson, WV passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility, Kearneysville, WV. Clifford was born April 27, 1932 in Shenandoah County, VA, He was the son of the late Homer Elmer Spitzer and Lillie Mae Barb. Clifford retired age 88 (by choice) from Shepherd University as lead plumber from 1986 to 2020, prior he worked for Kisner Plumbing and Heating and Boyer's Plumbing and Heating. Clifford was a kind, nurturing, generous, hard worker, funny, love of family, never met a stranger, loved to talk with people always on the go and loved by all. He is survived by his daughters, Rose Ann Myers and husband Larry, of Rippon, WV, Donna Fields and husband the late Leon Fields, of Ranson, WV, Tammy Sokel and husband Brian, of Summit Point, WV, his step-son, Kenneth "Butch" Bageant and wife Karen of Bunker Hill, WV, grandchildren, Paris Sokel, Gavin Sokel, Ricky Sokel, William Corder, Cynthia Darlington; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn L Bageant Spitzer; grandchildren, Pam, John Bageant and Cory Ham; four sisters, Janet Harding, Claire Delawder, Alice Wynkoop, Radie Dunn, three brothers, Alfred Spitzer, Ray Spitzer and Clarence Sine.. Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Ranson, WV with Dr. Henry Christie officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Kearneysville, WV. Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27 at the funeral home. Please sign his online guestbook at www.mtstrider.com
