Clifford W. Wood Jr.

With heavy hearts we share the passing of Clifford Wayne Wood Jr., 74, of Dale City, Virginia on November 14th, 2025.
Known lovingly as Red, Granddad and Buck. Clifford was born in Albemarle County, Virginia on November 11th, 1951. He married his wife of 50 years, Rita on November 25, 1972 in Gordonsville, Virginia. He was a provider, a protector, and a pillar of his family. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience and endless stories of things he fixed, built, or made better-just by being there. Clifford was a man whose strength, wisdom, and steady hands shaped the world around him and those in it. He was the kind of person who could fix absolutely anything-cars, appliances, household mysteries-and somehow still make it look effortless. If it had moving parts, he understood it; if it was broken, he made it whole again and if it was a tool, he owned it.
Clifford is survived by his Son Clifford Wood III, Daughter Jeannie Wood, Daughter Joni and her Husband Derek Garcia. He is survived by his twelve Grandchildren: Brittany Wood, Patrick Hills, Teira Gilbert, Michaela Garcia, Mariana Garcia, Brittany Kellison, Amanda Kellison, Dallas Kellison III, Jordyn Wood, Nicole Wood, Alexis Wood, Daylinn Wood, thirteen Great-Grandchildren and his two dogs, Peanut "Sissy" and Coco.
At his passing, we take comfort in knowing he is reunited with his wife Rita and his grandson Brandon whom he missed dearly.
Memorials may be given to his daughters Jeannie Wood and Joni Garcia. The family of Clifford wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all for the support during their time of grieving.
