Cliff Crabtree passed away on Monday, February 23rd, leaving behind a legacy that will continue for generations.

Cliff was a light in every room he entered. Larger than life, steady in his presence, and strong in his convictions, he was a man who believed deeply in faith, family, hard work, and doing things the right way. Those who knew him understood that his word meant something. His handshake meant something. His example meant everything.

Above all else, Cliff’s greatest love was his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Adonia, and a proud father to his four children, Jordan, Jared, Jonah, and Jena. He worked tirelessly to provide for them, to protect them, and to teach them how to live with integrity and strength. He led by example, showing his children what it meant to be disciplined, resilient, patient, and compassionate. Whether he was coaching a team, helping with homework, fixing something around the house, or simply showing up without fail, his family always came first.

In recent years, one of his greatest joys was becoming a grandfather. He was an incredible “Pop” to his grandchildren, Wade and Stella. Nothing brought him more pride than watching them grow. He cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was playing, teaching, laughing, or simply sitting close by. His love for them was pure and unmistakable, and they were truly the light of his life.

Cliff was a mentor at heart, always willing to teach, guide, and encourage those around him. Many will remember him not only as a leader in his field, but as a coach who believed deeply in bringing out the best in people.

He also knew how to enjoy life. Cliff loved a good time. He enjoyed listening to music, especially a live band, gathering around a great cookout or food truck, and opening his home to host friends and family. And if there was music playing, you could count on him to be on the dance floor, ready to dance, shake his booty, and boogie without hesitation. He believed life was meant to be shared, laughed through, and celebrated together.

In that spirit, the family will not be holding a traditional service. Instead, we will be hosting a celebration of life to honor him in true Cliff fashion, surrounded by the people he loved, with stories, laughter, and the kind of atmosphere he would have wanted.

Cliff’s legacy lives on through the values he instilled in his family and in the countless lives he impacted through his leadership, mentorship, and friendship. His life was defined by love, sacrifice, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to those he cared about most.

He will be deeply missed, forever honored, and always remembered.
