Geraldine G. Crabtree, 90, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Smithville-Western Care Center with her daughter at her side after a period of declining health.
Gerri was born on Sept. 28, 1935, in Wooster to the late Frank Joseph and Teresa Marie (Tomassetti)Yacapraro and graduated from Wooster High School. She married Robert Stillwagner and was blessed with two daughters, Dee and Vicki. Gerri had worked at the bowling alley in Creston and later at Autumnwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rittman where she had been an aide and cook, having worked into her 70’s. Over the years, she enjoyed bowling, playing Bingo and taking daily walks in Rittman where she would stop and visit with people along the way.
Gerri will always be remembered with love by her family as “Donut Grandma.”She will be missed by her daughter, Victoria Held; grandchildren, Richelle (Wayne) Vance, Ryan Dies, Nate (Nikki) Held and Alisha (Tommy) Guidetti; six great-grandchildren, a great great-grandson; sisters, Theresa “Tess” Pridgen and Carol Campbel and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Crabtree; former husband, Bob Stillwager; daughter, Denise Dies; son-in-law, Ron Held; brothers, Frank Jr. and Joseph Yacapraro and sister Rose Gilbert and Elizabeth “Liz” Yoder.
Family graveside services will be held at Creston Maple Mound Cemetery on Friday, March 6th. In lieu of flowers, contributions and condolences may be sent to the family in care of Murray Funeral Home.
