Malachi James Harley John Whitehead, 23, of Wooster, OH, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 13, 2026. Born February 11, 2003 in Newark, OH. Malachi brought light and laughter into the lives of those around him from the very beginning.
A graduate of Wooster High School in Wooster, Ohio. Malachi was known for his kind heart, unique laugh and unwavering loyalty to those he cared about. He was a devoted son to Jennifer and William (Bill) Combs, and Joshua and Mandi Whitehead. A grandson to Michelle Hill; a beloved brother to Deacon Whitehead and Heidi Combs. His family and friends remember him as a great person, someone who was always there when you needed him. Malachi brought joy to wherever he went.
Malachi had a passion for life that was evident in everything he did. He was dedicated to working out and could often be found at the gym pushing himself with determination. A huge gamer at heart, he also loved playing magic: The Gathering and spending time with his friends.
His faith played a central role in his life. Malachi attended Wooster Nazarene Church where he gave his life to Jesus and was recently baptized. He took pride in his walk with the Lord and found strength in his continued growth in the Word. His involvement his Church and youth group reflected his deep commitment to living a life of purpose and compassion.
Malachi is preceded in death and joins in rest his great grandparents Harley and Nina Rose; his grandmother Elizabeth D. Flack and his grandfather Johnny D. Whitehead.
May Malachi’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him and may his legacy of kindness, faith, and laughter live on in the hearts of those that knew him and those he touched.
Friends may call Wednesday February 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Malachi-Whitehead) with Pastor Joel Yates officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
