Clifton Richard Duckson Sr.

Clifton R. Duckson Sr. affectionately known as "Flip" was born on February 11,1957, in Rochester, NY to Clifton Duckson and Mary Noakes-Carter. At a young age, Clifton's family relocated to Queens, NY where he developed a love for the game of basketball. Clifton spent many days playing the game and visiting Madison Square Garden to watch the Knicks. He also loved watching college football and was a huge Michigan Wolverines fan.
In the late 1980's, Clifton relocated to Columbus, Ohio where he obtained a job working for the State of Ohio with troubled teens to help them become the best version of themselves. After 35 years of service, Clifton retired from the State of Ohio leaving behind a long-lasting impression of hard work and dedication.
Clifton had a big heart and a bright smile. He was known for his infectious personality. He could walk into a room full of strangers and come out with friends. Clifton also had a wonderful sense of humor and could make you laugh at the drop of a hat.
God decided on January 8, 2024, that he needed Clifton. He was called home and is now at rest. He fought a good fight, he ran his race, and kept the faith. Clifton will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Noakes-Carter; his sister, Kimberly Ann Duckson; his daughter, Nicole Antoinette Duckson; and his granddaughter, Kristina Deshan Duckson.
He leaves to Cherish his memory father, Clifton Duckson; sons, Darshan K. (Nathallie) and Clifton R. Duckson Jr.; daughters, Amelia M. Duckson, Asia Carr, and Holly Fuller; sisters, Beverly, Cheryl, Delores, and Cheryl; brothers, Carlton, Norman, and Willie; nephew, Gerard Allen; grandchildren, Samuel, Amara, Sequoia, Chresure, Saniya, Savai, and Jelanii; great nephew, Jerrell; and a host friends.
