Clint Dean Ambers, 76, of Audubon, MN, Little Cormorant Lake, passed away January 28, 2026, surrounded by family, at Heather’s House-HIA Hospice, Fargo, ND.
Clint was born November 5, 1949, in Maddock, ND, to Sidney and Mavis (Olson) Ambers. He grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo North High School in 1967. He was united in marriage to Cheryl Hanson on December 6, 1969. In 1970 he began working at the Fargo Post Office as a mail handler, eventually becoming a mail carrier. He retired from the post office in 2005 after 35 years of service. Clint had been raised with a strong work ethic and was never known to sit idle, so in addition to his fulltime employment at the post office he also owned several rental properties and owned and operated 12th Avenue Furniture in north Fargo from the late 1970’s until 2008.
The Ambers family loved spending time at Little Cormorant Lake, and Clint especially enjoyed working on projects and sharing a beverage with his special buddies at the lake. He was nicknamed “Beach Bum” by his lake neighbors, because he was always walking around and visiting.
Clint is survived by his wife, Cheryl; his children, Chad (Missy), Catherine (Craig) Kangas and Curtis (Noelle); his brother, Arne (Alice) Ambers and grandchildren, Caylee, Jocelyn and Beckett. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Carter Louis Ambers.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM, with visitation from 10;00 to 11:00 AM, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
