Clint Allen Matteson

Clint "Toby" A. Matteson, age 55, of Grove City died at his home on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 26, 2012, at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery with Military Honors by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Clint Allen Matteson, the son of Claudie and Isabelle (Vogelpohl) Matteson, was born on June 1, 1957, in Litchfield. He lived in Litchfield for a short while before his family moved to Madelia. They lived there for a few years before returning to Litchfield where Clint attended and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1975. After high school he served in the National Guard for five years. He worked at Jennie-O Foods in Litchfield for more than ten years. He then worked for Custom Products and Towmaster. Clint also worked at Northern Drill and Midwest Steel in Grove City. Clint recently tended bar in Grove City for close to ten years. He was an active member of the Jaycees. He enjoyed driving his Allis-Chalmers tractor in parades and attending auctions. Clint is survived by his mother Isabelle Matteson of Litchfield, brothers Doug (and Carol) Matteson of Watkins, Bill Matteson of Litchfield, sister Shirley Loch of Willmar and step-brother Lenny (and Kathy) Vogelpohl of Murdock. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father.
