VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services for Clinton Ardoin, Sr. will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Father Stephen Pellessier officiating services. Clinton passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, in Ville Platte at the age of 78.
Clinton Ardoin, Sr. was born on Saturday, January 19, 1946, in Chataignier, Louisiana to Clement Ardoin, Sr. and Ovilia Aucoin Ardoin. He was a dedicated truck driver, offshore worker, and mechanic. He also worked at “Mr. Can Man" for 26 years. Throughout his life, Clinton found joy in working on cars and spent many fulfilling hours pursuing his passion. His skills and dedication were admired by all who knew him. Clinton will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched with his kindness and dedication.
Clinton leaves behind his son, Clinton "CJ" Ardoin Jr. of Lake Charles; daughter, Susan Ferguson of Ville Platte; three grandchildren, Brandon Ardoin, Lacey Ferguson, and Ryan Ferguson and wife, Lacie; four great-grandchildren, Noah James, Christina Grace, Kaisen Robert, and Andrew Timothy; and one sister, Virginia Gauthier and husband, Adrian. They will forever cherish the memories of their beloved Clinton.
Clinton was preceded in death by his loving wife, Christina Ardoin; his parents, Clement Ardoin, Sr. and Ovilia Aucoin Ardoin; and two brothers, Clement “Junior" Ardoin, Jr. and Leroy Ardoin.
A visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 beginning at 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 9:00 AM with a celebration of life service at the funeral home at 12:30 PM prior to dismissing for funeral Mass.
