Clinton Cable Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Aztlan Mortuary - La Mesa on Apr. 28, 2025.
Clint Cable, age 66, passed away quietly at his Spring Valley home, surrounded by his family, on the morning of April 14, 2025. He fought a hard fight against a very aggressive prostate cancer battle that lasted a little over a year. It was quite the coincidence that there was an earthquake that rattled San Diego County shortly before his passing. Leave it to Clint to let us all know he was going home to meet His Lord Jesus!
Clint was born and raised in San Diego, California. He graduated from Mt. Miguel High School in 1976, and enlisted in the US Navy that same year. He served for 6 years as a sonar technician aboard the submarine, USS Permit 594. He married Laurie Larson in 1995 and they had just celebrated their 30 year wedding anniversary in February. He is survived by his wife Laurie, and their 11 children: Caleb-29, Christian-27, Carissa-25, Cierra-22, Catelyn-20, Candice-18, Carley-15, Caylee-13, Cassidee-11, Clark-8, Carson-5. He is also survived by his brother Casey Cable and special needs brother, Cody Cable, who since the passing of their mother Norma (aka Dixie) Cable, has been taken care of by Clint and Laurie. He is predeceased by his Father Leonard Cable, Mother Norma (Dixie) Cable, and brother Colin Cable.
Clint worked as a contractor for his own business, Cable Technologies, along with son, Christian. He had many hobbies, a wonderful sense of humor, and deeply loved his family! He was hardworking, inventive, a craftsman, jewelry maker, tinkered on clocks, enjoyed barbecuing and smoking meats, making bacon and sausage, enjoyed racing miatas with son Christian, he loved American muscle cars, volunteered for over 20 years at AWANA sharing the Good News of Jesus to children, served in his church as an elder and chairman, a member of Gideons International for over 30 years, he was creative and full of integrity, a truth seeker, loved his country but above all loved the Lord Jesus with all his heart, he put others first and truly cared for people. Clint used to say when he died he was going to live on a cul de sac next to Mary See (Sees Candy), Herman Lay (Lays Potato chips), Stuart Anderson (Steak company), and Peter McIntosh (Tillamook founder)!
