Clinton Leon Chamberlain

Clinton Leon Chamberlain, 78, of Ontario, Oregon passed away on September 6, 2025, in Boise, Idaho. Clinton was born on August 4, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Marie (Stringham) and Leon C Chamberlain. He was the oldest of four children. He first lived in Bountiful, Utah and then Murray, Utah. His family moved to Oregon around 1959 to establish a dairy farm in Adrian. After graduating from Adrian High School, he joined the National Guard with a leave for two years to serve a two-year mission in New Zealand for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

After returning home Clinton graduated from TVCC with an associates degree in 1971. While there, he also met then married DiAnne Marilyn Fife on October 20, 1971. Together they had 2 sons and 3 daughters in Adrian Oregon. In 1995, they moved to their final home in Ontario, Oregon and finished raising their youngest daughter.

Clinton was a dedicated and hard worker and worked several jobs, including but not limited to: his parents dairy farm, Champion Homes, Bennett Dairy Farm, and Woodgrain Millworks where he retired in 2018. He was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many capacities.

He is survived by his Sons, Donald (Pam) Chamberlain of Logan, Utah and Peter (Kristie) Chamberlain of Eugene Oregon. His Daughters Paula (Zane) Chancellor, of Kuna Idaho, Janet (Jamie) Conant of Baker City Oregon, and Lucie Chamberlain of Ontario Oregon. He is also survived by his sisters Cherrylee Garner of Middleton Idaho and Terilyn (Paul) Butler of Fruitland Idaho, his brother Jed (Marlene) Chamberlain of Prosser Washington. He has 5 granddaughters, 8 grandsons, step grandchildren, great step grandchildren, & numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife DiAnne, brothers-in-law Bruce Fife, Glen Green, and Garry Fife.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday September 13th at 10:30 at LDS Ontario 2nd ward building. It will be preceded by a viewing at 9:30 and interment following to the Hilltop Cemetery in Nyssa, Oregon. There will be a family Luncheon after the services back in Ontario at the LDS 2nd ward building.
