Clinton George Edwards

Clinton George Edwards, a beloved father, brother, grandfather and uncle passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 17, 2025.
A Celebration of Life to honor Mr. Edwards is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Freedom Baptist Church in Lexington, with Rev. Nathan Brinkley presiding.
Mr. Edwards was born in Whitemarsh, Maryland to the late Dewey and Helen Coulson Edwards. He was a retired truck driver with Leggett and Platt.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Edwards, brother David Edwards, sister Ruby Tolbert, grandchild Roxie Reeves.
He is survived by his devoted children: Denny Challis (Brandi), Richard Meadows (Becky) and Dede Sprinkle (Steve). Also cherishing his memory are three sisters: Patsy Wright, Judy Purdue and Linda Edwards. Mr. Edwards leaves behind the following grandchildren: Hannah Challis, Valerie Meadows, Olivia Challis, Nicholas Meadows, Ryan Sprinkle, Wesley Sprinkle, Liliana Challis, Daxton Challis, Chassity Reeves, four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a special nephew Danny Wayne Crouse and special friend Carol MacDonald.
