Clinton Fields Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schaffer Funeral Home on Jan. 29, 2026.
Clinton Leon Fields was born on October 25, 1993, in the Bronx, New York, to Tanisha Fields and Darrell White. Affectionately known as "CJ" to family and friends, he was a loving son, nephew, cousin, and friend whose presence brought warmth to everyone around him.

CJ departed this earthly life on December 16, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio.

During his early years, CJ lived on Long Island, New York, where he attended elementary school. He later moved to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where he spent much of his youth and continued his education. CJ graduated from Dennis–Yarmouth Regional High School.

CJ was known for his bright smile, kind heart, and his ability to make others laugh. He had a genuine love for people and valued time spent with his family above all else. His energy, humor, and love left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Clinton is survived by his loving parents, Tanisha Fields of Defiance, Ohio, and Darrell White; his two sisters, Shamsha Fields of Tampa, Florida, and Dorelle White of Defiance, Ohio; his firstborn nephew, Giovanni Ximines; his niece, Ma'Kayla Fields; and his nephews Keivoni Baskin and Kenneth Baskin III.

He is also survived by his uncle, Robert McWilliams (Courtney) of Cape Cod, Massachusetts; his great-aunt, Lenora Fields of Staten Island, New York; his aunt Sallie Tighe and Bernadette Joniner of the Bronx, New York; along with numerous cousins and extended family.

CJ's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit, laughter, and love will remain with us always.
