Sharon Marlene Fields

Sharon Marlene Fields passed away peacefully Thursday, January 22, 2026. She was born November 6, 1945, in Salinas CA where she resided and met her best friend and the love of her life Roy H Fields. They were married for 48 years until his passing in 2009. Together, they built a beautiful family rooted in faith, laughter, and togetherness.

She had a strong faith in God and she loved attending church with her family and friends. She loved being involved with the church functions which included dinners, picnics and all the fun activities. She made her home on Medbury open and welcome to all family and friends for dinners, parties or just to stop and hang out, and she especially loved hosting Christmas Dinners. Everyone always had such a good time with her either camping in Yosemite chasing bears out of camp with her pots and pans and floating down the river or in Hawaii laying on the beaches turning bright red and then going out to dinner and the evening shows. Wherever she was, it was always a good time.

Her love for her big family was immeasurable, she enjoyed spending time with all of them and loved them dearly, she especially loved helping, playing and spending time with her grandchildren. Her and Roy were a huge help in providing a home for them throughout the years.

Sharon is survived by her Daughter Sheri (James) Owens. Her Grandchildren, Shanna Fields, Taren Rogers, Shane Fields and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Her Brother, Gary (Terry) Rowe. Her Sister, Joyce Robbins. Her Brother, Patrick (Theresa) Hurley. Along with many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Roy H Fields, Son, Roy Dean Fields, Grandson, Brandon D Rogers, Mother, June Hurley, Father, JD Hurley, Sister, Sheryl Ferguson and Sister, Brenda Potter

Sharon will always be remembered for her generous heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith.

Visitation will be held 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Thursday, Februaary 5, 2026 at Struve and Laporte Funeral Home, 41 W San Luis St, Salinas, CA 93901 with Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 pm.

Burial will follow Service at Garden of Memories, 850 Abbott St, Salinas, CA 93901
