Clinton Dale Jones, age 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 11, 2024 while at Caromont Regional. He was born on November 20, 1948, a native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late Clinton, and Edith Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Murrial Jones, Sister in Law Cindy Cook and brother in laws Darrell and Danny Caldwell, who he thought of as his own.
Dale was a member of Revival Tabernacle, of Stanley, NC. He was an honored Army veteran, and he retired from Duke Energy in 2013 after 45 years of dedicated service. He was a loving husband, and father who lived for his grandchildren. He was a loyal and devoted friend to all who knew him.
His memory will be cherished by his two daughters Denise Jones and Charlotte Land (husband Jason), Grandchildren: Colby Land and Ashlyn Higdon. Two brothers: Allen Jones (wife Barbara) Mike Jones (wife Sandy), brother and sister in law Tim and Dale Ann Caldwell, brother in law, Mike Cook, sister in laws Sherry Caldwell and Melody Caldwell and his many nieces and nephews that he thought the world of.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Monday March 18, 2024 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. A graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery with Pastor John Mayberry officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to The Wounded Warrior Project: support.woundedwarriorproject.org or to The National Kidney Foundation: www.kidneyfund.org.
