Obituary of Clinton Douglas Koons
Clinton Douglas Koons
March 16, 1969 – November 8, 2024
Clinton Douglas Koons, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on November 8, 2024, in Magalia, California. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on March 16, 1969, to Robert Koons and Sylvia (Lovell) LaPorte, Clinton grew up surrounded by family and friends who adored his laughter and genuine spirit. Deaf from birth, he never let it slow him down.
A graduate of Del Campo High School in Carmichael, California, Clinton dedicated 35+ years to his craft as an auto body technician, where his skill and passion were evident in his work. Outside of his career, Clinton's heart belonged to the great outdoors. He was happiest exploring the woods, four-wheeling, and camping in both summer and winter, especially when joined by friends. An avid kayaker, Clinton embraced everything that connected him with nature, finding peace and purpose in the mountains.
Clinton is survived by his loving mother Sylvia LaPorte and stepfather Jim; his father Robert; his sisters Kim (Jim) Wright and Marcia (William) Daugherty; and his stepsisters Cheryl and Rhonda (Danny) Carter. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who adored him. Clinton was predeceased by his beloved fur babies, Scout and Tank, whose companionship he cherished deeply.
Clinton's infectious laughter, adventurous spirit, and love for family and friends will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life for Clinton will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at the Oroville Moose Lodge, 1462 14th Street, Oroville, CA from 12 pm- 4 pm.
