Clive Berty Davis

Clive (Berty) Robert Davis, 66, of Stamford, CT, was born on July 1, 1957, in Kingston Jamaica to Percival Davis and Alvira Walker Davis along with his 6 siblings. He passed away on Friday September 22, 2023.
He attended Rousseau Primary School in Jamaica and then to Norman Manley Junior secondary. He attended the prestigious Graham Music School in Kingston where he learned to read and write music and played the saxophone. He attended with and played with the famous Saxophonist, Dean Frazer and others. In 1972, Clive (Berty) immigrated from Jamaica with his brother Bobby to Connecticut, where he attended Westhill High School.
He was a lover of music, who enjoyed singing and would sing at any chance given to him. He was a recording artist with several songs by his group JEZREEL with Christopher Harvey and Jahbata out of Bull Wacki Studio 241St and White Plains Road while working at PayneWebber on Wall Street. His first album was Great Jah Jah. The band was Iteopia. His music can be found on YouTube. He recorded a single with Sugar Minot one side "Stop playing trick on my mind, Sugar Minot and the next side Tricky Girl by Berty". Berty writes his own music and lyrics. He harmonized with John Holt and Junior Soul.
Berty enjoyed cooking and love to share his dishes with others. Most importantly Berty loved the Lord and all his family.
Clive (Berty) is survived by two daughters, Dionne Beaumont and Kimberly Davis; two sons, Clive Davis Jr and Jamar Davis; his brother Newton (Bobby) Davis (Janice) sister-in-law, his sister Marcia Davis; four grandchildren – Christopher, Lily, Dion-Tyler and Adam; his nieces and nephews; his partner Teresa and host of family and friends.
Berty's family will receive relatives and friends at the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford on Friday, October 6th from 10 am – 12pm with a prayer service at 12pm.
