Clovis Lynd Woxland 73, of Mabel, passed away peacefully at his son’s home on Friday, February 28, 2025, after a lengthy illness. Clovis was the second child of Elmer and Ruth (Brigham) Woxland and was born in Winona, MN. Clovis worked on the family farm and also worked for the family business. Clovis met Carol Harris and they were married August 14, 1972 in Houston, MN. After they were married, Clovis worked for Rochester Silo and Madison Silo building silos throughout the Midwest. Clovis and Carol lived in Rushford, MN; Waupun, WI; Lewiston, MN areas before moving to the Mabel area in 1975. They owned and operated Woxland’s Pump Repair in Mabel and have serviced well pumps throughout the entire area. February marked 50 years that Woxland’s Pump Repair had been in business. Carol proceeded Clovis in death on December 12, 2012. They had just celebrated 40 years of marriage. Clovis met Della Jetson Mehaffey and they were united in marriage on August 26, 2016 in Whalan, MN. Clovis is survived by his second wife Della, his children: Audrey of Mabel; Brandy of Nashua, IA; and Cory (Nicole) of Mabel. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Amanda of Mabel; Lyndsey (Austin) of Prairie du Chein, WI; Brittany, Tyler, and Ashley (Silas) of Grinnell, IA; Kylie of Luana, IA; Kelsie, Kortnie, Kenzie, and Kassie of Mabel, and great grandchildren: Brayden of Caledonia, MN; Athena and Wyatt of Prairie du Chein, WI; Elaina, Nathan, and Aria of Grinnell, IA. He is also survived by his mother, Ruth of Peterson, MN and brothers and sisters: Corinne of Preston, MN; Doug (Betty) of Waupun, WI; Gene (Nancy) of Altura, MN; Donna (Dick) Klug of Troy, MN; Janet (Mark) Santos of Chaseburg, WI; Jamie of Peterson, MN and Susan (Tom) Baker of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Clovis was proceeded in death by his first wife, Carol; his father, infant brother and infant niece.
The family would like to thank Gundersen Lutheran Hospital, St Croix Hospice, Stephanie from Fillmore County Human Services, Michelle from Fillmore County Public Health for their support and compassion for Clovis and for the family.
Memorial Service will be 3 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2025 at Grace Lutheran Church in Peterson. Visitation will be 1 p.m., until the time of the service, at the church. He will be laid to rest at West Grace Cemetery.
