Obituary of Clyde Bigbee, Jr.
Clyde Bigbee, Jr., 83, husband to Diane Bigbee for 16 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
Mr. Bigbee was born in Clinton to the late Clyde Bigbee Sr. and Sally Beatrice Edwards Bigbee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and former Masonic Master of Bates Lodge #189 Easley, SC and Simpsonville Lodge #311. Clyde retired from teaching for over 30 years at Donaldson Center and Golden Strip Career Center. He loved his former students and kept in touch with many through the years. He was a lifetime member of IPTAY and avid Clemson fan. Clyde enjoyed woodworking and making a difference in other lives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are Dwyane Manning (Nancy) who he considered a son; nephews, Dennis Balkham and Rick Denton (Rita); nieces, Linda Ginn (Cecil), Sandra Bald, Rachel Revels, Rhonda Sheran and Cathy Link; a special friend, Andy Fletcher (Jennie) and his mother-in-law, Mary McCollum. He was predeceased by two brothers, Darrel Bigbee and Ed Bigbee and two sisters, Evelyn Balkham and Dorthy Lollis. Clyde was the last surviving of his family.
A Celebration of Clyde's Life will be held 3 o'clock Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service.

Clyde Bigbee was a special man with a ton of character. We will dearly miss his humor and his love for people. The first time I met him was at a Clemson football game where he was tailgating. His love for the Tigers is unparalleled. God rest his soul.
