Clyde D. Brill

Clyde Donald Brill, 86, of Yellow Spring, WV, died on Sunday August 24, 2025, at the Heritage Hall Long-Term Care facility in Leesburg, VA with the love of family by his side.

Clyde was born on May 3, 1939, in Winchester, VA, the son of the late Walton E. and Marie Spaid Brill. He was a dedicated sheet metal contractor and proudly owned and operated Brill's Company for over 20 years. A passionate car enthusiast, Clyde enjoyed collecting classic vehicles and especially loved showcasing his 1959 Ford Galaxy 500 at local car shows. He was also an avid toy collector, with a special fondness for Tonka toys. Clyde found great joy in spending time on the Brill family farm in Yellow Spring, where he enjoyed the peace of the countryside and the challenges of farming. He was a devoted fan of NASCAR and the Washington Redskins (Commanders).

Clyde married Clara Margaret Frye Brill on August 4, 1963, in Cumberland, MD.

Surviving along with his wife of 62 years are his two sons: Donald S. Brill (Tom) of Herndon, VA; Michael E. Brill (Rachel) of Purcellville, VA and two granddaughters: Lauren and Reagan Brill.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother: Harry Brill.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 3, 2025, at the Timber Ridge Christian Church at 11 AM. Officiating will be Pastor Mike VanDerLinden. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory in Capon Bridge, WV on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 6-8 PM.
