Mr. Clyde Corey, age 88, of London, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025.

He leaves behind two children, Patricia Marion and husband, Pat, of Adrian, MI, Waylon Corey and wife, Leigh Ann, of Woollum; three siblings, William R. Cobb of Woollum, Martha Henison and husband, John, of Rome, GA and Perry Cobb of Green Road; four grandchildren, Darcie Thompson, Corie Marion, Austin Corey and wife, Skylar, and Ashley Corey; two great grandchildren, Drayson and Dixon Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Hudson Corey; his parents, Floyd Corey and Martha Murphy Corey; his stepfather, Loyd Cobb; and three siblings, Willie Corey, Georgie Howard and Virginia Hubbard.

Clyde was a devoted family man and friend to many. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and generosity. He retired from National Standard after 37 years of dedicated service, where he was known for his steady work ethic and reliability.

Clyde held a special place in his church and community as a beloved member of Antioch Baptist Church in Clay County, where his faith, kindness, and fellowship touched the lives of all who knew him. He had a deep love for horses and found joy in the simple pleasure of being around them.

Above all, he loved his family fiercely and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought, and his quiet acts of generosity touched countless lives.

He will be remembered for his big heart, his willingness to serve others, and the warmth he brought into every room. Clyde will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service honoring Clyde Corey will be held on Wednesday, November 19 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Joe Jones and Scott Hammons officiating. Interment will follow at the Corey Cemetery in Blackwater, Kentucky.

Casket bearers will be James Brown, Roger Corey, Austin Corey, Donnie Hudson, Jamie Lundy, and Joseph Sears. Honorary casket bearers will be Roy Peek, Harold Beckner and Denver Mays.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, November 18 beginning at 6:00 P.M.
