Clyde "Al" Fohn was born July 31, 1941 in Hondo, Texas and was raised on the family farm in Yancey, Texas, has passed away May 8, 2024. 

He attended Yancey schools, graduating in 1959, and attended Draughons Business School before entering the workforce. In 1963, he married Lois Tschirhart, and had two sons. He worked for several investment firms until 1973 when he accepted a position at Broadway National Bank in the Mortgage Servicing Department where he attained the position of Vice President in charge of the Service Department.  In 2001, Al elected to take early retirement and return to the family farm. He thoroughly enjoyed taking care of their cattle, hunting, fishing, having a vegetable garden, and making sausage. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Esther Fohn, and brother, Thomas Fohn.

Al is survived by his wife; Lois, and sons; John B. Fohn (Pam), and Joel A. Fohn (Jennifer). He also leaves behind five grandchildren; Nicholaus (Rita), Mikayla, Kaitlyn, Carly, and Joshua Fohn, and sister, Trina Wilson.


A Viewing will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00p.m. in the Primrose Funeral Chapel in Devine, Texas. A Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 10:00a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Devine, Texas, with interment to follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Devine, Texas.
