Clyde Frautschi, age 82 of Manitou Beach, Michigan passed away Friday, June 16, 2023 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson, MI. Clyde was born April 4, 1941, in Muncie, Indiana to Robert Frederick Frautschi and Lucille Lorraine (Hess) Frautschi. He married Gloria Faye (Graham) Frautschi on July 26, 1973, in Toledo, Ohio, who preceded him in death in 2021. He was raised in Adrian, Michigan and graduated from Adrian High School in 1959.
Clyde was a longtime employee and retired from Ford Motor Company/Visteon in Saline Michigan. Clyde was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Lakes in Addison and the Moose Lodge #1034. Clyde proudly served his country in the Air Force. Clyde enjoyed doing custom woodworking, loved sailing and boating, and motorcycles. He lived on Round Lake and was known as the neighborhood handyman. He also loved flying and had his own plane.
Clyde is survived by his brother-in-law, Ralph G. Graham of Cadmus. Nieces and nephews, Lisa (Duane Jr.) Potes, of Adrian, MI., Loretta Carr (and Mark Scott) of Hudson, MI, Nina Graham of Adrian, MI. Great-nieces and nephews, Justin (Alexandra) Potes of Celina, Texas and their children, Harrison and Ella. Nicole (Mark) Waszczak of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and their children, Cooper and Owen. Ashley (Jeremy) Spencer of Fort Worth, Texas and their son, Jaxxon.
Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Faye Frautschi, and his parents, Robert and Lucille Frautschi and a nephew, Jared Carr.
Private Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Green's Lakeside Cemetery in Manitou Beach, with Michael Leonard officiating.
