Clyde Gordon Holder 93, of Rankin, Texas passed from this life June 11, 2023.
Gordon was born on March 16,1930 to Allan and Madge Holder. He graduated from Rankin High School in 1947. In 1948 he joined the Army and served until 1952. Once he got out of the service, he roughnecked in the oilfield until he found his true calling as a welder.
On July 31,1962, he married the love of his life Loretta Bufkin. In October of 1974, they moved to Rankin where they spent the rest of their lives.
Gordon loved his family more than anything. He also loved those Rankin Red Devils especially when his grandkids played.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Stanley Holder, brother Buddy Howell, sister Novene Connor and sister Gail Angell.
Gordon is survived by his daughters Daun Michum and Danny of Rankin, Carolyn Quick of Whitesboro, and Linda Womack of Gordonville; grandchildren Baleagh Selman and Bo, Dalton Michum and Alyssa, Stan Quick and Lou Anne, James Smith and Julie, and Amanda Quick;
great grandchildren Arley, Colby and Boyce Selman, Kasen Billings, Johnathan Smith and Kaylee, Matthew Quick and Morgan, Riley Quick, Hailey and Delaney Smith, and Andrew Quick; great great grandchildren Kynlee Smith and Soon to be Baby Quick.
