Clyde Irving Obituary
Mr. Clyde Irving, Jr. age 57, passed away February 12th, 2021 at North Florida Regional Medical Center. A native of Summit, NJ, the family moved to Gainesville, FL where he attended public schools of Alachua County, and was a graduate of Eastside High School, class of 1980. He was a member of Old Jerusalem Baptist Church, and He was employed with the City of Gainesville as a Storekeeper. Mr. Irving was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde J. Irving, Sr., and Curlee Stewart Irving, two brothers, David Stewart, and Marvin Irving.
Mr. Irving is survived by his wife, Hattie Irving, Micanopy, FL, children, Julius Irving, A.J. Irving, Jhody Polk, all of Gainesville, FL, siblings, Barbara Leak(Alphonse), Scott Plaines, NJ, D. Ayoka Jasey Sowa-La(Nii), Derrick Irving, Calvin Gist, Henry Brown, all of Gainesville, FL, Cassie Davis(Johnny), Jacksonville, FL, and five grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Clyde Irving will be held 10:00am, Saturday February 20th, 2021 at Citizens Field Stadium. Arrangements entrusted to Chestnut Funeral Home, Inc., 18 N.W. 8th Avenue, Gainesville, FL.
Social distancing and wearing facial masks are recommended by the CDC and the Alachua County Emergency Order, 2020-50. If you do not have a facial mask, one will be provided for you by a Member of Chestnut Funeral Home Staff

Clyde was a long lasting friend that will be missed. I will miss Clyde but GOD is bigger than me!! When GOD says "TO COME WITH OPEN ARMS"!! I know Clyde is at HOME and surrounded by LOVE ONES that he would like to SEE. Rest my friend and say Hi to MOM and DAD for me!!!!! LOVE ALWAYS!! CHRIS "GOPHER" ELLEBY AND FAMILY.
