Clyde Franklin Johnson

Mr. Clyde Franklin Johnson, age 67, of State Road passed away, Thursday, February 12, 2026 at his residence. Clyde was born March 30, 1958 in Duval County, Florida to James Eugene and Nancy Jane Wagoner Johnson.

Clyde retired from Lowes Corporate as an IT Supervisor after nearly 30 years of service. Clyde also was employed by Brendle's in Elkin for 18 years. He was also a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Clyde was very active in the Boy Scouts of America at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Mickey James Johnson.

Survivors include, a son, Christopher Johnson and wife Laura of Raleigh, a daughter, Lauren Johnson Martin and husband Jeremy of East Bend, two grandchildren, Ashton Giles and Madi Grace Martin, four brothers, Gary Wagoner and wife Libby of Jonesville, Ricky Johnson and wife Cathy of Conway, SC, James Johnson and wife Susan of Jacksonville Beach, Fl, Billy Johnson and wife Kathy of Colfax, several special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held Monday, February 16, 2026 at 2:00pm at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Vogler and Rev. John Newton officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to Camp Raven Knob Campership Fund 6600 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
