March 29, 1928 – March 13, 2026
Clyde Johnson was born in Bisbee, Arizona on March 29, 1928 to Lionel Hakes Johnson and Anna Carlton Johnson. There were double blessings that day as Clyde’s twin sister, Clydene, came 20 minutes after him. The family lived various places in Arizona and enjoyed swimming, hiking and fishing. They eventually settled in Glendale, Arizona where Clyde met his eternal sweetheart, Margarete Beaver. They were married June 3, 1950 and sealed in the Mesa Arizona Temple on June 13, 1952.
Clyde was owner/operator of Clyde Johnson Jobber, a Chevron Petroleum distributorship for many years.
As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Clyde held many callings. He served honorably as Bishop, counselor in two different Bishoprics and as a Stake Clerk.
Clyde and Margie enjoyed a loving, happy marriage for 75 years. He went to be with her and those who passed before him on March 13, 2026 at the age of 97 years. The reunion must have been wonderful!
He was preceded in death by his bride, Margie, his parents, brother Kenneth Johnson (Caroline), brother Benjamin Johnson, daughter Kathleen Loeb (Jim) and great grandson Aiden Johnson.
He is survived by daughter Beth Davis (Wayne), son Ken Johnson (Celeste), sister Clydene Rhoton Butters, 10 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Clyde loved and adored family above all else. Words cannot express the love we all have for him and our Mom. So happy they are together again.
