Clyde William Jones

Funeral services for Mr. Clyde William Jones, 82, of Sterlington, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 17, 2024, at North Monroe Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Carter Nicholson Cemetery in Bastrop, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. until service time at the church.

Clyde was born August 21, 1942, in Bastrop, LA, and passed September 14, 2024, on our 56th anniversary at home. He was a member of the Encouragers Life Group.

Clyde was a friend to everyone and as long as his health allowed, loved to help anyone. In the summer, he always took his boys to the river and pulled them skiing all day long! Then hunting season came along. He was a hard worker, but his family and his Lord always came first.

Clyde is preceded in death by his father, Clyde Jones; father-in-law, Cecil Fuller; mother, Ola Lee Porter Jones; mother-in-law, Lilia Fuller Branch; nephew, Paul Alexander.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Jones; children, Lee Jones, Todd Jones (Nikki), Stephen Jones, and Amy Roberts (Dierk); grandchildren, Holly McCready (James), Candace Stanley (Tad), Karri Roberts, Trevor Jones, Hannah Jones, Lisa Jones, Kristi Jackson (Chandler), Brittany Jones, Garrett Jones; four great grandchildren; and sisters, Elizabeth Gorman and Diane Goodman and her husband, Leroy.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Goldman, Chuck Goodwin, Theo Tillman, Don Turner, Dan Wyatt, and Ted Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Monroe Baptist Church Building Fund.
