Clyde Ann Lecrone, age 77, of
Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Texarkana. She was born on Sunday, October 20, 1946, to Terry Clyde and Thelma Dean Raney Sherrer in
Bennington, Oklahoma.
Ann will forever be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, educator, and cherished member of her community, whose love and kindness touched the lives of many. Her greatest joy in life was found in the loving embrace of her children and grandchildren, whom she supported wholeheartedly in their endeavors, especially in attending all of their sporting events. Ann's unwavering presence on the sidelines was a testament to her boundless love and encouragement for her loved ones.
A pillar of faith, Ann found solace and strength in her church family at Lukfata Baptist Church, where she served with dedication and humility, including a role as the church clerk. Her unwavering commitment to her faith community was a reflection of her deep-rooted spirituality and love for God.
In her leisure time, Ann found joy in nurturing her flower beds, cultivating beauty and tranquility amidst the blooms. Her green thumb and passion for gardening brought color and life to her surroundings, reflecting her nurturing and vibrant spirit. Additionally, Ann enjoyed the creative outlet of sewing and the thrill of discovering treasures at junk sales, finding beauty in the simple pleasures of life.
Ann's professional legacy was marked by 36 years of dedicated service as a 2nd-grade teacher and Reading Specialist at Bennett Elementary School in Broken Bow. Her passion for education and her unwavering dedication to her students left an indelible mark on generations of young minds. After retiring from Bennett Elementary, Ann continued her commitment to education by spending another 15 years at Finley Reese Elementary in Wright City, furthering her impact and leaving a lasting legacy of love and learning.
Though Ann's physical presence may no longer grace this earth, her love, kindness, and legacy of service will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Her memory will continue to inspire and uplift all who were touched by her beautiful spirit, a testament to the impact of a life lived with love, faith, and purpose.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Lecrone; and son, Rusty Lecrone.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Amy Lecrone of
Wright City, Oklahoma, Jacey and Brian Buchanan of
Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Chris and Jackie Lecrone of
Idabel, Oklahoma, Curtis and Debra Lecrone of Conway Arkansas, Butch and Joan Lecrone of
McAlester, Oklahoma; one brother and sister in law, Terry and Tina Sherrer of
DeKalb, Texas; one sister and brother in law, Linda and Roy Fuller of Bells, Texas; nine grandchildren, Justin and wife, Alexa Lecrone, Blake and wife, Emma Lecrone, Brian Williams, Jaylee Coffey, and Lexii Lecrone, Stephen Lecrone, Chelsi Krause and husband, Tim, Benjamin Lecrone and wife, Ashton, Brooke Henderson and husband, Chandler; nine great-grandchildren, lifelong friends, Pug and Dennis Burton of
Broken Bow, Oklahoma; several niece and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 13, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Lukfata Baptist Church with Brother Chip Pinkerton officiating. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in
Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in
Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
