Clyde L. McFarland Jr. (Mac / Larry), 92, of Wagontown, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, of natural causes in Kansas City, MO. Mac was born on July 27,1933 in Coatesville, PA to Clyde L. McFarland Sr and Mildred (McCarraher) McFarland.

Mac grew up in Coatesville where he attended Scott Senior High School, graduating in 1951. After graduation, he worked briefly at Lukens Steel Company as an electrician before entering the Army during the Korean War where he was assigned to a communication outpost in Ethiopia. Upon discharge from the Army in 1955, he worked for Bell of Pennsylvania for thirty-five years, retiring in November 1990 from Lucent Technologies.

Upon retiring, Mac and his friend, Frank Lasak, established and worked their own electrical/ telephone business for several years. He held memberships at the VFW, Wagontown Fire Company, and the Westend Fire Company. During his life he enjoyed hunting, motorcycle riding and woodworking.

Mac is survived by his son, Timothy McFarland (Dave Woolwine) of Kansas City, MO and daughter, Lisa (McFarland) Gooden (Tim) of Hogansville, GA, grandsons Samuel Gooden of Athens, GA and Zachary Gooden of Savannah, GA. He is also survived by extended family members and friends, especially Bonnie Ellis, Ashley Hope and Danielle Jacobs.

Mac was preceded in death by his wife Wilma (Tucker) McFarland, his first child and son Michael, fiancé Jeanne Hope, and his parents.

A graveside service open to family and friends will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville, PA on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 10:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the March of Dimes.
