Clyde Alvin Ogg Jr., a longtime resident of Lincolnwood, Illinois, passed away on February 8, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on June 12, 1947, Clyde was a man of his generation-hardworking, dependable, and deeply rooted in his community. After earning his law degree from John Marshall Law School, he spent many years building a life in Lincolnwood, where he was known as a person who could always be counted on for a good story and hosting many family gatherings.

Throughout his 78 years, Clyde found his greatest joy in spending time with his family near and far. He was a devoted son who was always caring and attentive to his parents. Later in life, his parents moved to Ohio, and he drove there regularly for visits and to spend holidays with his family. After his father passed away, Clyde continued to visit his mother in Toledo every month for many, many years. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and loyalty that will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Sr. and Cecile Ogg. He is survived by his wife, Martha; his stepchildren, Angelina Monaco and Derrick Pawlak; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters, Lucy Abu-Absi and Ann Marie Gamble, and many dear friends. Clyde's kindness and spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation will be held at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N Cicero Ave, Chicago, IL 60646, on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 10am-12 noon with a service beginning at noon. For information www.smithcorcoran.com or 773.736.3833.
