Mate Goreta, 88, of Chicago and formerly of Kadina Glavica, Croatia passed away on March 18, 2026. Beloved husband of Eva. Loving tata to Angelina and Josip (Anouk). Proud dida of Luka and Asha. Cherished brother of Ante (Marija), Andjela (the late Ivan) and the late Marco (Marija), the late Ana (the late Frane) Krecak and the late Slavko (the late Anka). Dear son of the late Joso and Kata. Adored uncle and cousin to many. Mate loved singing, soccer and playing bocce ball. Saturday, March 21st visitation 10am until the time of the funeral mass at 11am at Blessed Alojzije Stepinac Croatian Church, 6346 N. Ridge Ave., Chicago IL 60660. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
