Eugene A. Goreta

Goreta, Eugene A. December 12, 2021. Age 91 of Ecorse. Loving father of Lori (Howard) Goldman, Matt, Anthony, Gwen (Dale Potts), Karl (Karen) and Danny. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends. Eugene attended Columbia and Georgetown Universities and University of Detroit Law School. He practiced law for more than 50 years, until his death. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving as corporal for 3 years during the Korean war. Eugene was also city councilman and an attorney for the city of Ecorse. He also served as president of the Ecorse Public School Board. Eugene was an avid golfer, was the longest member of West Shore Golf Club and loved to play cards. He loved the city of Ecorse and was a lifelong resident. Eugene was a caring and helpful benefactor to many Ecorse residents in need of help. Visitation, Wednesday, December 15, 2021, 4:30-9:00 PM and Thursday, December 16, 2021, 12-9:00 PM.
