Clyde Enoch Swaney, born on May 14, 1944, in Pendleton, South Carolina, passed away on July 20, 2024. He was a strong, loving, giving, and God fearing man. He was a beloved husband of 41 years, father, brother and Papa.
He was a wise businessman and spent 40 years running his business, L & S Refrigeration. It started as a family business but he gained many employees along the way that also became family. In his early years he enjoyed Karate and riding horses. He loved him some Braves Baseball and Clemson Football, he never wanted to miss watching a game. He loved getting to spend time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.
In his later years you could always find him sitting on the screened in porch with his dog Roxy, watching the birds and breathing in the fresh air or at the kitchen table examining and researching coins and reading his Bible.
He was preceded in death by his parents, multiple siblings and grandson, Samuel Swaney.
He leaves behind by his loving wife, Joy Swaney, children, Dale Swaney (Kay Crowe), Angela Swaney-Bruce and Chris Swaney, grandchildren: Justin Swaney, Alayna Bell, Karry, David and Braxton, great- granddaughter, Amelia Bell. Siblings Melvin Swaney and Ruby Palmer, brother-in-law's: Billy Smith, Johnny Smith (Anne) and Randy Smith, many nieces and nephews, along with his four-legged best friend, Roxy.
We will love and miss you forever, our Cowboy.
A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.
