It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cody Lee David a devoted husband, a beloved friend, and a soul whose love and forgiveness knew no limits. He left this world on August 23, 2025, but his spirit and the immeasurable love he gave will remain forever. Cody lived his life with an open heart. He had a gift for seeing the best in people, offering grace and forgiveness freely, and wrapping those he loved in unconditional kindness. To his family and friends, he was a steady light; gentle, patient, and deeply loving.

He felt most at peace beneath the sky he cherished, spending his days outdoors where the beauty of nature mirrored the beauty of his soul. Whether it was the quiet stillness of the woods, the warmth of the sun, or the calm of the evening air, Cody found joy and connection in the natural world. By his side always was his faithful companion, Ayla Moon, his beloved dog and kindred spirit. Together they shared countless walks, adventures, and quiet moments, each reflecting the devotion and loyalty he embodied in every part of his life.

Cody is survived by his loving wife, Sierra David; children, Margo, Quinton, Ariyah, and Elliott; father, Chris David; brother, Anthony Baxter; sister, Jessie (Benny) Kuhl; niece, Lily Kuhl; grandparents, Jean and Gary LeValley; uncle, Robert David; aunt, Darla Hilgendorf and several friends. Cody was welcomed home to heaven by his mother, Jane LeValley David and his grandparents. Though his passing leaves an ache beyond words, his legacy of love, forgiveness, and gentleness will continue to guide all who knew him.

A service in honor of Cody's life will be held at a later date. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the extraordinary heart of a man who gave so much. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the wishes of the family, c/o Sierra David, 205 West Sherman St., Caro, MI 48723.

Though our world feels dimmer without him, Cody will forever be remembered for the love he gave so freely, the forgiveness he lived by, and the light he brought into every life he touched.
