Cody M Johnson

Cody M. Johnson, 39 was born in Syracuse, NY. Cody had a heart of gold. He had an extreme sense of humor and loved to laugh. He was loved by all that knew him. Cody loved to hike and enjoyed nature. Cody went for a hike with his best friend(dog), Afton and never made the trip back. Cody was found on October 16, 2024, passed away with his faithful best friend-Afton, never leaving his side. The family would like to thank all Lewis County Sheriff deputies- especially, Investigator James Blackwell and Detective Amelio for their compassion shown to the family during this difficult time. Also, would like to thank NYS Troopers, the NYS Forest Rangers, the many first responders, K9 units, Lewis County Search and Rescue, Boonville Search and Rescue, volunteer teams across the state and supporting personnel and the land-owner that found Cody. We will be forever grateful to you ALL. Cody's family is very appreciative for the effort, work, and care shown during this devasting time.
The family will celebrate Cody's life and impact privately. We would also like to thank his friends for the many loving comments shared about Cody.
