Cody Taylor Lindeman (Plainview)

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Cody Taylor Lindeman on April 8th, 2024. Cody was born September 26th, 1975, in Plainview Texas. 

He graduated from PHS in’94 where he proudly played football for the Plainview Bulldogs all four years. His pride and passion for the community continued after his youth as he was a proud member of the Elks Club in Plainview. In his time there Cody served as the Hoop Shoot Chairman, Lodge Sweetheart, started the 1175 Run for the Kids, served as an Esquire, Exalted Ruler for 2 years, was the Pan West Chairman and Vice President, Grand Exalted Ruler District, Chairman of Plainview Deputy and was with the Past Exhaled Rulers association. Cody also continued on his mother’s passion for honoring veterans by displaying flags at the cemetery every year on Memorial day. His love for giving didn’t stop there; if you knew Cody you knew his talent for smoking BBQ, and the joy it brought him to share with others. 

He is survived by his father Herman Lindeman, sister and brother-in-law Dondi & Kyle Walker, niece Madison Martin, nephew Kalon Walker, longtime girlfriend Nora Ramos and her family, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Sandy Lindeman, grandparents Vernon and Mary Cantrell, Adolph and Pearl Lee Lindeman, and cousin Jennifer Lindeman. 

Cody was kind, loyal, and had a heart of gold. 

Memorial services will be held at 10 am Friday at the First Baptist Church of Plainview, and the visitation to follow.
