Cody Lee McFarland was born December 9, 1998 in Branson. He entered into rest on September 29, 2025 from Mercy Hospital in Springfield at the age of 26.

Cody lived much of his life in Branson and attended Branson schools. He currently resided in Ozark.

Cody's spirit was truly untamed, a gypsy at heart who followed wherever curiosity, a new opportunity or adventure led. He lived life with wonder, authenticity, and a free spirit.

He thrived on the thrill of new pursuits, whether it was learning a new skill or taking a road trip to a new destination. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially time on the lake or at the ocean. And, never shy, Cody's joy in singing and dancing was infectious.

Cody deeply cherished his friends, family, and his beloved cats. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Karen Richards (Logan Stauch) of Forsyth; brother, Wesley Richards of AR; grandmother, Glenda Faye Richards of Forsyth; and his significant other, Janie Blevins of Ozark as well as many friends and extended family.

Cody was preceded in death by his father, Lee McFarland, Jr.; and grandparents, Lee & Dee McFarland and John Richards.

Cody's life will be celebrated on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory in Branson. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
