Cody Ray Prescher, resident of Crowley, TX, formerly of Burleson, TX, passed away on Sept. 28, 2024 at Huguley Hospital at the age of 37 years.
Cody was born on May 14, 1987 in Fort Worth, TX to Pat and Jerry Prescher. He was raised in Mansfield, and moved to Burleson where he obtained his GED because he said “If I’m not being paid to go to school, I’m not going”. He’s recently elevated his business where he owned his own mowing company and roofing construction with his father.
He was a gambler! Everything was a bet, “Bet 5”. Although, he would give anyone the shirt off his back. He gambled hard, but loved even harder. He had a Winstar Elite membership, loved mud riding, boating (well, drinking on the boat), and his favorite of all, drag racing where he drove his brother’s S-10 and met his wife at Good Ole Kennedale amongst several other amazing friends who have become family.
He is survived by his wife: Kristen Dawn Prescher, their fur babies, Prada, Chanel, and Dozer (AKA “Boy”), grandchildren: None – They all got spayed or neutered. Others: His father, Jerry Prescher, Donna Stephen – sister, Craig Stephen – brother-in-law, Stephanie Bedunah – sister, and her husband Dylan, Lisa Prescher – sister-in-law, Shawn Hay – brother-in-law and his wife Erica, TJ Hay – brother-in-law, Roger Tidwell – uncle, and many nieces and nephews. Scott and Lexi Stephen, Cade, Brock and Addylan Bedunah, Mackenzie Davis and Hunter Prescher, Chelsea Hay, Kylie Hay, Kristen Snell and great-nephews Bronxton and Alex Stephen. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Prescher, his brother Jimmy Prescher, in-laws Tim and Candy Hay, among many other loved ones.
If Cody had final words to say, it would be “life is too short, fly by the seat of your pants”, and “if you ain’t right, get left”. “Bet 5.”
